Tractor and combine sales continue to forge ahead, according to the November Flash Report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

Sales in the 100+ HP tractor were up more than 30 percent compared to November of 2020 and are up more than 23 percent year-to-date. Sales in the 40 to under 100 HP segment were up 10 percent over November 2020 and are nearly 12 percent over year-to-date numbers. Sales in the under-40 HP segment were up 6.8 percent over November 2020 and are up nearly 10 percent for the same period last year.

Total 2WD farm tractor sales remain more than 11 percent over year-to-date totals, AEM reports.

Sales in the 4WD segment were off for the second straight month, down 23 percent compared to November of 2020, but for the year are 11 percent higher than the same period last year.

AEM says combine sales were up nearly 38 percent compared to November of 2020 and are up 25 percent year-to-date.

Looking at the trend lines, 2021 is shaping up to be a banner sales year. Sales have been above 2020 totals for most of the year and remain well-above the five-year average.
