John Deere has unveiled its updated 250G LC, 350G LC and 380G LC excavators, which now feature Tier 4 Final engines.

The 250G LC is powered by a 188-horsepower Tier 4 Final John Deere PowerTech PVS 6.8L engine, while a Tier 4 Final John Deere PowerTech PSS 9.0L engine provides 271 horsepower to the 350G LC and the 380G LC.

Diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaning occurs automatically without impacting machine operation, and the DPF can last up to 15,000 hours before ash removal.

The new G-Series models feature maintenance improvements such as a larger hood for improved engine access; a nine-pin diagnostic connector in the cab for lower diagnostic testing time; a single side ground level fluid filter service that moves the engine oil, fuel and hydraulic pilot oil filters to ground level on the right side of the machine; and a service door to offer easy access to filters.

The 350G LC is available with a factory-installed grade reference ready option, while the sensor mounting brackets that are integrated with the boom, arm, dogbone, counterweight and mainframe allow for immediate installation of grade reference systems.

The machine also includes a programmable thumb attachment mode that enables operators to program oil flow for thumb attachments with the monitor.

All G-Series excavator also include handrails, which are designed to improve service accessibility and security.

An optional light package, which includes a hood light, is also available.
