John Deere provides outline of contract offer to union

As the labor dispute between the United Auto Workers and John Deere continues, John Deere has posted details of the contract offer on its website: https://www.deere.com/en/our-company/news-and-announcements/newsroom/tentative-agreement/

The company writes: Our employees represented by the UAW are important to John Deeres future. With the second tentative agreement reached between John Deere and the UAWs bargaining team, they would share in our current and future success through wages and benefits that are not only the best in our industries they are groundbreaking.

According to the company, the labor agreement provides:

  • Cost-of-living adjustments every 3 months for inflation.
  • Cost-of-living adjustments every 3 months for inflation.
  • A company-funded defined benefit pension plan and defined contribution plan (401k).
  • A new cash balance savings to provide more retirement income and flexibility.
